The Castrol Hyspin AWH hydraulic oil range with Viscosity Index improver (VI) which helps to maintain the viscosity characteristics of the product over a wide range and over prolonged use. It is based upon highly refined mineral oil enhanced with a stabilised zinc additive system.
Hyspin AWH has been specially formulated to provide good anti-wear and thermal stability performance. The careful blend of additives with a high quality base stock ensures that Hyspin AWH has excellent hydrolytic and oxidative stability while exhibiting a minimal tendency to produce sludge and deposits. In addition, Hyspin AWH provides corrosion protection to ferrous and yellow metal components found within a hydraulic system.
This range is designed for use in industrial hydraulic systems which require anti-wear protection. It meets the needs of hydraulic equipment operating under severe service conditions such as a wider temperature and high pressure applications. The Hyspin AWH range is fully compatible with elastomer materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as nitrile, silicone and fluorinated (e.g. Viton) polymers.

- Hyspin AWH-M oils are high viscosity index (VI) multigrade hydraulicë_ë__fluids. This allows a single grade of oil to be used in marine hydraulicë_ë__systems which operate in different climate zones. A particularë_ë__feature of Hyspin AWH-M grades is the use of VI improversë_ë__with aë_ë__very high resistance to shear.
- Hyspin AWH-M grades contain a highly effective zinc based anti-wear additive, as demonstrated by the four ball wear, vane pump’Çë_wear and FZG gear test results.
- To minimise the effects of water contamination Hyspin AWH-Mgrades have excellent water separability as measured by the severeASTM D 1401 test.
- Hyspin AWH-M grades also contain a highly effective corrosion’Çë_inhibitor as demonstrated by the excellent result in the IP135B,(steel in sea water) corrosion test.
